Associated vehicles: Gina left on her brother's bike, which was later found in the middle of the street.

The vehicle that was seen driving around the area and what was believed to have been involved with Gina's disappearance was a battered light grey, green, or blue station wagon with Missouri License plates.

Details of Disappearance: Gina was last seen in her hometown of Fredericktown, MO on August 5, 1989. She had arrived back home around 10:00pm after having gone to her brother's baseball game and had told him that she was going for a bike ride, which she never returned from.

Her mother woke to find that Gina still wasn't home and reported her missing around 2:00am.

While riding around town, she stopped by her church and a battered gray-blue station wagon stopped and the driver rolled down their window to speak to her. A witness saw this exchange take place. That person then saw Gina get back on her bike and turned south on Mine La Motte.

Sometime later, some witnesses, including Gina's boyfriend heard a girl scream for help. The Station Wagon that was earlier seen, was seen this time turning left on Franklin and driving towards Highway 67.

Gina's bike was later found on a residential lawn on High St. which was five blocks from her family home.

In 1998, three men were implicated in Gina's disappearance. Nathan D. "Danny" Williams, Bryant Squires, and Timothy Bellew.

Williams was identified as the man a witness saw in the back of the station wagon with Gina on the night of her disappearance.

Timothy Bellew was initially implicated in Gina's disappearance. He admitted to FBI agents that he lied about the location of Gina's remains and told admittedly told them that Gina's body was in an abandoned meat freezer, buried on his father's 96-acre property.

After extensive searching of the property back in 2001, no evidence turned up at that time.

Bryant Squires was identified as the person driving the station wagon. He has since died from cancer and AIDS-related illness, and on his deathbed, supposedly made a confession to nurses that implicated himself and Danny Williams in the kidnapping and murder of Gina Brooks along with confessing to other crimes. None of this has been confirmed 100%. There were no available photos of Squires that I could find.

Williams and Bellew were both charged in the kidnapping and murder of Gina Dawn Brooks. Danny was charged with first-degree murder. Those charges were later dropped due to lack of evidence. He is now serving a life sentence for the forceable rape and sodomy of another girl.

Bellew was charged with second degree murder, however, those charges were dropped in 1999 due to lack of evidence. He was instead charged with lying to law enforcement and was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

Both Williams and Bellew have records of sex offenses and other crimes.
