The Golden Rule and the Stigma on Mental Health
There seems to be a huge stigma hovering over mental health. It seems that people forget that everyone has feelings, and they all handle them differently.
Stacy Ann Cales Peterson- Possible Remains Found
Stacy Ann Cales Peterson was the wife of Disgraced police officer and convicted murderer, Drew Peterson. Stacy was 16 when they first met, while Drew was still married to his third wife, Kathleen Savio. Drew and Kathleen divorced shortly after. Drew groomed Stacy, and they married when she was 19 in 2003.
Frustrating Cases
Sometimes, it can be incredibly difficult to research some of these cases. Due to the lives these missing or murdered people live or the choices they make, law enforcement does not always take these cases seriously; or at least they didn't in the past. It's most difficult I think when adults go missing, because adults are allowed to just pick up whenever they want to leave. As a result, a lot of times, it's days, weeks, or sometimes months before law enforcement will permit a missing person's report to be filed, unless there is evidence that the missing person is at risk.
