Employment: Mechanic and school bus driver at the time of Geneva Adams' disappearance on July 24, 1976. Mills drove the school bus on route for Adams' 12y.o. son at the time.
1966-1971: "1976 Waukesha County Jane Doe": Partial skeletal remains found near Prairie Home Cemetary.
1973: Mills was charged and sentenced to less than 1 year for attempted rape of a 20-year-old woman in Cape Girardeau, MO. Mills threatened the woman with a 7" knife and a .22 caliber revolver, a policeman happened upon the scene to stop the attack.
May 31, 1976: Kathy Diana Pendelton, 22, was last seen in St. Louis, MO. All of her belongings were left behind. Few details are available in her case.
June 1976: Mills was charged with rape of a 16-year-old hitchhiker in Jefferson County, MO. Mills received 2 years' probation and 1-year suspended sentence.
July 24, 1976: Geneva Verneal Adams, 53, was last seen with Mills, leaving The Artesian Lounge at 777 Joachim Ave in Herculaneum, MO in Mills' Cadillac.
September 4, 1976: Jane Doe Found in Washington Park, IL, buried in Greenwood Cemetary, but poor records made finding the interred body difficult.
May 14, 1977: Debbie Jane Chiles, 15, was abducted while walking home from school. Her body was found 4 days later along Highway M in Jefferson County, MO.
March 3, 1978: Mary Elizabeth Weekly, 25, was last seen in St. Louis, MO, wearing a purple coat and red hat. Few details are available in her case.
April 17, 1979: Cheryl Scherer, 19, was last seen working her shift at Rhodes Rhodes Pump-Ur-Own Gas Station in Scott City, MO. Two hours before the end of her shift, she called her mother and was fine, twenty minutes later, her cousin drove by and saw someone in the station but couldn't tell if it was Scherer. Five minutes later, another employee found the station unattended. Her purse and checkbook were left at the station as well as her car. $480 was missing from the cash register.
1981: Mills received a conviction for receiving stolen property.
1982: Mills was convicted of escaping from confinement.
March 2, 1985: Peggy Alt, 17, was last seen at her High Ridge, MO residence. She was reported missing on 3/4/1985 by her father.
July 18, 1985: Cynthia Horan went missing from South Springs apartment in South St. Louis, MO. Horan shared a kitchen and bathroom with Mills.
October 1985: A relative of Mills's reported forcible rape when she wouldn't accept his offer of $50 for sex. Later this same relative refused to testify. Mills was working in Poplar Bluff, MO at the time.
November 26, 1986: Nancy Brannon, 34, was last seen at Midnight Grand and Delor in St. Louis, MO. Her vehicle, a 1983 tan, 2-door Dodge Charger was found at her apartment complex the following day. This was on the 7500 block of Watson Rd.
March 11, 1987: Diana Jane Braungardt, 18, was last seen after finishing her shift at the Venture Store in the Twin City Mall in Crystal City, MO at 10 pm. Witnesses recalled seeing her speak with a white male in the parking lot, describing him as being in his early 20's, 5'10", with black or brown hair, and medium build.
July 30, 1988: A body was discovered in a shallow grave by hikers near Antonia, MO.
August 5, 1989: Gina Dawn Brooks, 13, was last seen riding her bicycle around 10pm in Fredericktown, MO. The bike was found later on High Street. A light blue, gray, or green Station Wagon was seen at the same time as witnesses heard a scream in the neighborhood and the sound of a car driving off.
July 2009: A search of property outside of Perryville, MO. Mills lives in Piedmont, MO at this time and is out on bond after being charged in 2008 in Federal court for Felon in Possession of a firearm.
2010: DNA confirmed the Doe found in Antonia in 1988 was Cynthia Horan.
2011: Mills was sentenced to 10 years in prison on a weapons charge.
2019: Mills was added to Sex offender register
July 19, 2019: Mills was released from federal prison.
